Abstract
Under the current background of promoting the coordinated development of economy and environment, the chemical industry still blindly pursues the traditional financial performance in the financial performance evaluation, ignoring the balance between environmental protection behavior and financial performance. Therefore, this paper selects 25 listed companies in the chemical industry in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets from 2015 to 2017 as research samples, demonstrates the significant correlation between the environmental indicators and financial performance of the chemical industry by the multiple linear regression analysis method, and then selects some traditional financial performance indicators by the principal component analysis method, which together constitute the basic financial performance of the chemical industry. Finally, the entropy weight method is used to determine the index weight, and a set of financial performance evaluation index system of chemical industry based on the concept of environmental protection is designed. The purpose of this system is not only to evaluate the financial performance of the chemical industry accurately, but also to restrain the chemical industry unilateral pursuit of financial performance and neglect of environmental protection.
