Abstract
As the state-owned enterprises in China have a "three-tier principal-agent relationship"that is different from modern western enterprises, and there are major contradictions in different levels of relationships, the Party Central Committee has led through "two-way entry and cross-serving"the system perfects the corporate governance structure of state-owned enterprises, but the influence of party organization participation on corporate governance and corporate performance under this system is not clear, especially the lack of empirical research support. In this regard, this study collected mixed cross-section data from 2005 to 2018 of 326 state-owned listed companies that have established party organizations.Empirical research shows that two-way entry of state-owned enterprises can improve corporate performance by improving corporate governance, and cross-employment cannot directly improve business performance. This study provides some reference for the construction of corporate governance structure of state-owned enterprises.
