Abstract
In order to study the impact of digital level on the innovation efficiency of high-tech industry, this paper first measures the digital level of 29 provinces in China from 2011 to 2019. Secondly, based on the perspective of innovation value chain, the innovation activities of high-tech industry are divided into science and technology R&D stage and achievement transformation stage. At the same time, the patent structure is implanted into the innovation value chain, and the impact of digital level on high-tech industry innovation is analyzed in detail. The results show that the digital level has a significant effect on the scientific and technological R&D efficiency of high-tech industry, but has no significant effect on the final achievement conversion efficiency. The specific reason for this phenomenon is that the digital level has promoted the generation of low-quality patents, which are difficult to convert into new product revenue, and ultimately have no significant impact on the efficiency of achievement conversion. Therefore,we need to grasp the digital process, vigorously develop the high-quality independent innovation ability of high-tech industry, and realize the transformation of the final results.
