Abstract
Innovation consortium is an important means for achieving high-level self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology. Knowledge co-creation of innovation consortium enterprises is an important path to break through key core technologies. And enterprises play key roles in innovation consortium driving knowledge creation through knowledge sharing and integration. It is quite important to study knowledge behavior of innovation consortium enterprises to promote the breakthrough in key core technologies. However, existing research doesnt analyze knowledge co-creation of innovation consortium enterprises deeply. The mechanism and evolutionary trend of knowledge co-creation of innovation consortium enterprises are unclear. It is difficult to provide adequate guidance for the development of innovation consortium. Enterprises of innovation consortium are different in goal, technology, knowledge and resource, so enterprises knowledge behavior is different. It may not only affect knowledge co-creation of innovation consortium enterprises but also affect the development of innovation consortium. In order to solve the above problems, the study focuses on the process of knowledge co-creation of innovation consortium enterprises. According to the differences in the goals of innovation consortium members, mutualism symbiosis is divided into strong mutualism symbiosis and weak mutualism symbiosis. Then, the paper constructs a multi-agent simulation model using Agent-Based Modeling method to study the impact of knowledge level, enterprise quantity and degree of goal consistency on knowledge co-creation of innovation consortium enterprises. Last, the study uses case study method to analyze 3C intelligent manufacturing innovation consortium. The results are as follows. First, as time goes by, knowledge co-creation of innovation consortium enterprises gradually deepen, knowledge stock steadily rises and tends to be stable when it reaches a certain degree. Second, knowledge stock of participating enterprises in innovation consortium can promote knowledge co-creation of leading enterprises and the promotion effect is more under the strong mutualism symbiosis. Third, although the number of participating enterprises has no significant effect on knowledge co-creation of leading enterprises, it can accelerate the process of knowledge accumulation by expanding knowledge network resources. Fourth, knowledge stock of leading enterprises can promote knowledge co-creation of participating enterprises on the whole, and strong mutualism symbiosis can enhance the effective use of knowledge among enterprises. Last, the implicit knowledge of leading enterprises and participating enterprises, and the explicit knowledge co-created by leading enterprises and participating enterprises all show a trend of increasing at first and then stable. Meanwhile, explicit knowledge is richer under strong mutualism symbiosis while implicit knowledge of leading enterprises grows slightly faster under weak mutualism symbiosis. The main contributions of the research are as follows. First, the study explores knowledge co-creation of innovation consortium enterprises. It can not only deepen the research on innovation consortium and knowledge co-creation but also provide new ideas for the development of innovation consortium. Second, the paper applies Agent-Based Modeling method to knowledge co-creation of innovation consortium enterprises, enriching the application fields and scenarios of Agent-Based Modeling method. Third, the paper introduces mutualism symbiosis into the research of innovation consortium and can provide ideological guidance for the sustainable development of innovation consortium. The study can provide the following management implications. First, innovation consortium should select and match leading enterprises and participating enterprises scientifically. Second, it should adapt the number of innovation consortium enterprises according to the target orientation, and build knowledge co-creation platform. Third, it should guide and coordinate the goal consistency of innovation consortium enterprises, and design scientific profit distribution mechanism.
